Derrick Main

Derrick Main was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. Derrick graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Financial Management and an emphasis in Financial Planning. During his time with Fratarcangeli Wealth Management and Equitable Advisors, Derrick met the requirements to hold the Series 66, Series 7, and Security Industry Essentials (SIE) licenses, while gaining valuable insight into providing exceptional client service.

Derrick gladly welcomes hard work and is ready to take the lead at any moment. His process-oriented mindset and customer service know-how can easily be attributed to his managerial experience overseeing service and production at his family’s McDonald’s franchises.

As an advisor, he is skilled at designing investment strategies and optimizing asset allocations by leveraging detailed research. He is also familiar with implementing business, operational, and marketing plans, and supporting sustainability strategies to benefit his clients.

At W&A, Derrick supports our Senior Wealth Strategists by providing excellent service for our clients and assisting in creating personalized financial plans. He is passionate about building relationships and helping clients realize their best financial lives.

You may want to ask Derrick about his time working for the Clemson Football team. He is the proud owner of one National Championship ring and two ACC Championship rings, and dreams of owning a team one day in the future. He was also an all-state bowler in high school and continues to love bowling in his “spare” time… he even keeps his bowling ball in his car, just in case!

Derrick certainly made the most of his time as a young professional. Oh, did we mention he also knows how to create and edit videos? Perhaps it’s no surprise then that his favorite quote comes from the Tony Stark character in the Marvel movies—“No amount of money ever bought a second of time”. Derrick also believes the quote applies to how we should treat long-term financial planning.
