Most Mid-Southerners have heard of this Memphis native and longtime community leader, who is possibly best known for his role as president and general manager of the Memphis Redbirds. But his role in making Memphis a better place to live, work and play doesn’t stop there. Allie Prescott has occupied several high-profile posts during his storied career, including vice president and general manager of the Memphis Chicks, executive director of MIFA and executive director of the City of Memphis Park Commission. Most recently, Allie fulfilled an item on his bucket list when he served as interim athletic director at the University of Memphis for six months in 2019.
Allie has practiced law since 1972 and is a Rule 31 Civil Mediator, certified by the Tennessee Supreme Court. He also served as Vice President of SPL Corporation. At Waddell and Associates, Allie focuses on business development and client relations initiatives in his role as Senior Vice President.
Allie, who is a graduate of and holds a Juris Doctor from Memphis State University Law School (1972), also owns a local consulting company, Allie Prescott & Partners, LLC. Some of the highlights of his personal and professional life include the following:
